The instructions say to preheat my oven to 325, make a slit in the top of the bag. Upon doing so I immediately got a wonderful smell of rosemary. I am supposed to bake the beef until the timer pops up.
There's one problem in this whole system. About how long am I supposed to fucking wait?! Do I need to keep checking this mother fucker every 2 minutes to see if it's done?! When the fuck am I supposed to start cooking my mashed fucking potatoes and vegetables so I can have my whole meal done at the same time, nice and warm?! I see at least one other person shares my opinion on their packaging, but he didn't comment on how the food tastes.
I put it in my oven at 5:19PM. Unfortunately, I can't find any pictures of the packaging on the web, so once my food is done cooking I'll come back and let you know approximately how long mine took and I'll provide some pictures and a review of how it tastes. If it's good I'm willing to overlook the packaging error, because I feel this is a good price, but am going to shoot them an email shortly. Hopefully they can correct this to save other people frustration.
.. review of actual taste to come shortly..
Okay, so it took roughly 50 minutes to cook. At 6:08PM I noticed the timer was popped out. I decided to make some instant mashed potatoes, since the sirloin says to let cool for 15 minutes before slicing.
Here's a cutout of how it looked..
.. excuse me for the bad image cut job. So, it doesn't exactly look as good as the picture on the box, but the inside did. The edge was a little more done than I'd like, but the middle was pink just like the box. I actually think it was cooked perfect. The flavor was very good. The spices and rosemary were very noticeable.
The box claims it serves six people. I'd say it would be right if you had a bunch of side dishes and stuff. I'd say more realistically it serves 4 to 5 people nicely with your side dishes.
