The soup is between $5 and $6 if I remember correctly. The broth has a lot of flavor lurking within. It's topped with a large homemade crouton and tons of melted cheese. Then it's topped with french fried onions that they make themselves! Very filling and I often drive here just for the soup.
Smithville Inn is located in Smithville, NJ. I believe it's Exit 58 off the Parkway if you're going South. About 2 hours south of where I live, but well worth the trip. There's a bunch of shops to visit which have crafts, antiques, toys, clothes, gourmet food, etc. During December they decorate the whole town up like it was in a Dickens' Christmas.
If you're taking a trip to the area you can stay at The Barn which is located right next to all the shops. Atlantic City and the casinos are just a short drive if that's your thing. They're maybe 15 or 20 minutes away I believe.
